
Marie J Slaughter Scholarship
The Marie J. Slaughter scholarship was established to celebrate the forty-one years of service Soror Slaughter dedicated to the teaching profession. The $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a student pursuing a degree in higher education.
Sharon Glenn Memorial Scholarship
Sharon Glenn was the first African-American speech and language pathologist in Canton City Schools. The scholarship in her honor was established in 1990. To qualify for this $1,000 scholarship you must have a disability or enrolled to pursue a degree to work with disabled individuals.
Qualifications for the scholarship(s) must be present in order for the sorority to process your application. Applicants must:
Be a resident of Stark County
Be of AfricanAmerican descent
Be enrolled in a college/university that offers at least baccalaureate degree or higher
Have a minimum G.P.A. of 2.7
Be disabled or pursuing a degree to work with disabled individuals**
